Gymnastics, Trampolines, and Baseball
Today started early with Bailey working out from 8-12. We always take pictures at each gym where she trains in hopes of someday making a collage or something. It's fun to document the variety of places she's popped in to as we travel. However, my favorite part is seeing her grow in confidence as she learns under new coaches, meets new teammates, and tries unfamiliar routines. We hope the versatility she develops sticks with her as she faces meets at new places and competes with new faces. Also, a huge thanks to Excalibur Gymnastics for welcoming he this week. For the afternoon the kids and I ventured over to SkyZone Trampoline Park. They had a blast flipping any flying for a couple of hours. It never ceases to amaze me how much they love these places. Even when we're on the road, their need to move, jump, soar, and climb pushes them to beg for more bouncing. This one had a trapeze and I enjoyed some photography time taking action shots of Bailey. Troy also loved the dodgeball arena.
We finished the evening taking in a Norfolk Tides game. I grew up watching baseball with my dad, back when Nolan Ryan was throwing no hitters in Arlington Stadium. I've always loves the feel of spring air, the crack of a bat, and ice cream in a helmet. This game did not disappoint! We got a sprinkling of rain, an exciting game to watch (even if we lost), and the kids had ice cream in helmets. To top it all off - fireworks! And after that . . . kids run the bases. The fun stretched later than we anticipated, and we loved every minute of it.
