On the Road Again
After a wonderful week in Virginia Beach, it's time to move along and continue with our roadtrip. We started our morning with Bailey's last day at the gym while the rest of us hit the laundromat for breakfast and clean clothes. Time got away from us, but with our damp laundry in tow, we made it back to the gym just in time, picked Bailey up, and headed for the airport. We said goodbye to Brian and he headed home to see our cats and the new floors. He'll be working from home for the next few weeks overseeing the renovation before rejoining us in Seattle later in the summer.
As we pulled onto the highway, I checked the map and noticed an ETA of about an hour later than I anticipated. Ughhhhh . . . traffic adding an hour was not on my list of things for the day. Bailey also hadn't eaten, so we opted for a food stop to wait out the traffic and fill our tummies.
The mostly uneventful drive ended at our friend Baldy's house where we were greeted with delicious BBQ, good company, and comfortable beds.
For tonight I'll leave you with a peek at the new floors.
